Rougarou Celebrate Super Hero Night at Pete Goldsby Field Honoring First Responders

Baton Rouge, LA – June 8, 2019 – The Baton Rouge Rougarou celebrated Super Hero Night on Saturday night against the Victoria Generals, honoring all First Responders for what they do for the community. All First Responders were given one free ticket to the game on Saturday night. The Rougarou fell 12-6 to the Generals in the first game of their 2 game home series against the Generals.  

The Rougarou trailed early against the Generals, but were able to cut their deficit to 6-4 in the bottom of the 2nd inning. A base hit by Carson Clowers scored Lukas Polanco and Johnny Johnson Another base hit by Kyle Boudreaux scored Cameron Crawford and Carson Clowers.  

After 4 innings, the Rougarou trailed 8-4, but a wild pitch in the bottom of the 6th inning scored 2 runs for the Rougarou. After 6 innings, the Generals kept their lead 10-6. The Rougarou were not able to score any more runs after that and lost 12-6 to the Generals.  

The Rougarou play the Generals again on Sunday night for Service Industry Night, which gives one free ticket to all those in the Service Industry. Sunday night’s Rougarou game is also Bark in the Park Night where fans in attendance can bring their dogs to the game. Sunday night’s game is the last game of the Rougarou’s 2 game home series against the Victoria Generals.
