Rougarou fall to Generals on Thirsty Thursday

Baton Rouge, LA. – June 20, 2019 – The Baton Rouge Rougarou faced the Victoria Generals on Thirsty Thursday in the first game of a two-game set. Despite an impressive performance by Drew Bianco, the Rougarou fell 9-2 to the Generals. 

The Generals jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after scoring two runs in the top of the first. The Rougarou responded in the bottom of the second as Johnny Johnson scored on a wild pitch, cutting the Generals advantage to 2-1. 

The Generals answered in the top of the third, scoring two runs to extend their lead to 4-1. Bianco blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth to make the score 4-2, in favor of the Generals. The Generals scattered five more runs across the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth innings to secure the 9-2 victory. 

The Rougarou host the Generals again on Firework Friday at 7:05 p.m. Friday night’s game will have a live band and fireworks and will conclude the two-game set against the Generals.
