Baton Rouge Roster Stays Close to Home

Baton Rouge, LA – January 29, 2019 – The Baton Rouge Rougarou are excited to announce two local Baton Rouge players that will be joining the team for their inaugural season. Brennan Lambert, a freshman coming from Lamar College and Bo Barrileaux, a sophomore at our very own Baton Rouge Community College.

Brennan Lambert, the newest catcher and first baseman for the Rougarou graduated from Catholic High School located here in Baton Rouge. He has orchestrated a phenomenal high school career by making multiple appearances on the Louisiana All-State team as well as being named All-District Most Valuable Player in district 5A. Lambert has had great success hitting the ball with an exit velocity of 88 mph but also provides a remarkable defensive presence while behind the plate. His fluid footwork and clean exchanges account for his recorded positional velocity of 76 mph and a 2.01 pop-time while delivering the ball with accuracy and precision.

The second player, Bo Barrileaux has a unique, versatile skill set. His main position is third base but he also thrives in other positions in the infield and also has experience behind the plate. Barrileaux graduated from Hanson Memorial in Franklin, Louisiana. Credit is due for his success hitting the ball as well. Head coach of the Rougarou, Thomas Simoneaux has nothing but high hopes for Barrileaux. “Bo is an outstanding hitter and overall, a well-rounded ball player that could help our team in a variety of ways,” said Simoneaux.

The Rougarou staff are thrilled to have added these two notable ball players to their roster. “As the head coach of the Rougarou and for everyone I represent, we are very excited about these two players joining our roster,” said Simoneaux. Lambert and Barrileaux are two players of impressive quality and have great potential to help make the Rougarou a successful ball club in the Texas Collegiate League.
