The Baton Rouge Rougarou lost its second straight game to the Brazos Valley Bombers on Sunday, dropping a 2-0 decision at Travis Field.
The loss was the Rougarou’s fifth straight overall. The team is 2-8 in its last 10 games.
Sunday night’s game was another offensive struggle for the Rougarou, which was held to two hits by three Brazos Valley pitchers. Derrald Moore Jr. (single) and Lane Hutchinson (double) were the only Rougarou players to scratch hits. The rest of the lineup combined for 13 strikeouts.
Jaden Brasseaux got the start for Baton Rouge, throwing seven innings. He gave up both Bombers runs, one earned, on four hits, walked two and struck out seven. Antoine Harris closed, giving up no runs on one hit and striking out one in one inning of work.
The Rougarou travel to Seguin on Monday to take on the River Monsters at 7:05 p.m.
