The Acadiana Cane Cutters held the Baton Rouge Rougarou to two hits and took advantage of five errors on the way to an 8-0 win Wednesday night at Pete Goldsby Stadium.

The Rougarou continue to look for their first home win of the season after dropping the home-opener to the Victoria Generals 6-5 in 10 innings on Tuesday.

.Lane Hutcinson’s double in the first inning and Ethan Menard’s single in the top of the ninth were the only hits the Rougarou could muster off of four Acadiana pitchers. Three batters walked and two were hit by a pitch, but all were left stranded.

Acadiana, meanwhile, got 10 hits off of four Rougarou pitchers. Starter Lane Thomas got the loss after giving up six hits and four earned runs in 3 1/3 innigns. He walked four and struck out four.

The Rougarou will face the Cane Cutters again Thursday night at 7 p.m. at Pete Goldsby Stadium in Baton Rouge.
