Bryan, Texas – June 25, 2019 – The Baton Rouge Rougarou fell 10-3 in its final game of a two-game set against the Brazos Valley Bombers on Tuesday night.
The Bombers scored a run in the bottom of the first to take an early 1-0 lead. The Rougarou responded in the top of the third, tying the game at 1-1 as Austin Haensel scored on a Brayden Morrow single.
The Bombers took a 5-1 lead in the bottom of the fifth. The Rougarou cut their deficit to 5-2 in the top of the sixth as Logan LeJeune scored on a Trevor Rugg single. The Bombers plated a run in the bottom of the seventh to extend their lead to 6-2.
The Rougarou scored another run in the top of the seventh as Carson Clowers scored on a LeJeune single. The Bombers added four more runs in the bottom of the frame as the Rougarou fell 10-3.
LeJeune led the Rougarou, going 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Clowers had a 2-for-4 outing, including a run. Rugg went 2-for-4 outing with an RBI. Guillaume Beaudry struck out three batters in two innings pitched.
The Rougarou continue their road trip, traveling to Lafayette to face the Acadiana Cane Cutters for a two-game set on Wednesday-Thursday.
