Capital City's Baseball Team Begins Planning for the 2021 Season

Thank you for your patience as we have worked to understand the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic. In these unprecedented times, we are called to stay true to our values, and you – our community – are at the center of it all. Ultimately, it is clear that to stay true to our values and to act in the best interest of everyone involved at the club, including players, staff, host families, supporters and sponsors alike, we must withdraw from the 2020 season.

There is nothing that we love more than filling out Pete Goldsby Field with all of you. That vibrant sense of community in the form of the scary yet friendly Rougarou mascot, along with the all of the game day entertainment and great baseball is a reflection of the best that our city has to offer, and we will miss it. Our community is strong, and together, we can overcome anything – even a global pandemic. It will require a complete and selfless commitment from each of us, and we must look after one another, even as we are forced to maintain a social distance as an act of community. As painful as this decision has been, we feel strongly that this is the right decision. Our preparation for 2021 begins now. We will return stronger than ever.

Stay tuned on social media to stay connected to us, and to each other.

Take care. We will see you again soon.
