BATON ROUGE, La. – The Baton Rouge Rougarou announced today the additions of first baseman/catcher
Tayten Tredaway and outfielder Cole Plowman to their 2021 roster. Both are Texas natives who attend
Seminole State College (SSC) in Seminole, Okla.
Tredaway, a 6’1”, 205-pound sophomore from Newark, Texas, attended Northwest High School in Fort Worth.
The left-handed hitting 1 st sacker/backstop has played in 38 games this season and is hitting .303 with six home
runs and 31 RBI. He has scored 26 runs and has eight doubles mixed in with his 33 total hits. He carries a .403
on-base percentage and .541 slugging percentage equaling an impressive .944 OPS. In his freshman campaign
with the Trojans, Tredaway played in 12 games hitting at a .286 clip with three RBI and had a .500 on-base
Plowman, who originally committed to Texas Tech, is a 6’2”, 215-pound outfielder from Fort Worth, Texas.
This season with the Trojans, the left-handed swinging freshman is hitting .382 with one home run, seven RBI
and scored 14 runs in 20 games. He has a .523 on-base percentage and .647 slugging percentage, totaling an
outstanding 1.170 OPS. Coming out of V.R. Eaton High School in Fort Worth, Perfect Game rated Plowman as
the state’s 166 th overall prospect and the 29 th ranked outfielder.
The Baton Rouge Rougarou open the 2021 season on June 1 with a 4-game roadtrip to Texas to face both the
Amarillo Sod Squad and Brazos Valley Bombers in 2-game sets. The Rougarou home opener will be Saturday,
June 5 at Pete Goldsby Field versus the Victoria Generals. Please check back at the team’s official website
