The Baton Rouge Rougarou had its two-game win streak snapped Friday night by the Victoria Generals, 11-2.

The Generals punched 11 hits against four Rougarou pitchers. Grayson Grates got the start and took the loss. He pitched three innings, giving up three earned runs on four hits. He walked five. Heyden Oglesby relieved in the fourth and gave up seven runs on four hits. He struck out two and walked five. Ty Ringo  pitched two innings, giving up one run on two hits and struck out four. Ethan Brister was the closer, pitching one scoreless inning and allowing one hit.

Victoria jumped to a 4-0 lead then added six runs in the fifth.

The Rougarou offense was sluggish, knocking just eight hits and scoring solo runs in the fifth and the seventh. Elliot Hebert and Ethan Menard both went 2-for-4 but produced no runs. Samuel Plash went 2-for-2 with a double and drove in one Rougarou run. John Taylor drove in the other.

The team will have Saturday off before returning to Sequin for Sunday and Monday night games against the River Monsters. The Rougarou will return to Baton Rouge for the home opener on Tuesday, June 7 at 7 p.m. against the Generals.
