The Rougarou scored five runs in the top of the first inning and never let up on the way to a 10-5 win over the Sequin River Monsters. It was the team’s third win of the season, all of them coming against against Sequin.

Pitcher Hunter Draper got the start and the win. He pitched five solid innings, allowing two runs on six hits, walking one and striking out four. Ethan Brister pitched two innings, allowing two runs on two hits, walking two and striking out two. Cade Hart closed with two innings, giving up one run on two hits and striking out three.

The Rougarou finished with eight hits on the night, led by John Taylor (2-for-3 with two RBIs) and Peyton Seybrandt (2-for-4 with two RBIs). Ethan Menard and Elliot Hebert both had two RBIs. Lane Hutchinson, Landry Alligood and Hebert all scored a pair of runs.

The team plays one final game against Sequin at 7 p.m. Monday before returning to Baton Rouge for the home opener against the Victoria Generals on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Goldsby Field.
