It's not a streak (yet), but the Rougarou will take it.
Baton Rouge rolled to its second straight win over the Abilene Flying Bison, holding on for a 3-2 victory Thursday night in Abilene.
The Bison had runners on first and second in the ninth inning but, after giving up a single and a walk with one out, closer Carson Robb struck out Rodrigo Bravo and Keller Rivers to end the threat.
Both teams notched seven hits on the night, but Rougarou pitchers Thomas Collins, Colt Lejeune and Robb held the Bison to all singles and struck out 10.
Lead off batter Josh Lim continued to pace the Rougarou. He went 2-for-3 and scored two runs. He led off the game with a single, stole second, went to third on a single by Taylor Walters and scored on a wild pitch to put the Rougarou ahead 1-0 in the top of the first.
After Abilene scored two in the bottom of the first inning, the Rougarou regained the lead with two runs in the third. Brock Louque singled and stole second then Lim walked. Walters' sacrifice scored Louque then Lim scored on a Bison error.
The Rougarou will face the Flying Bison again Friday night at 7 p.m.
