The Baton Rouge Rougarou could not find a spark Friday night and fell to the Brazos Valley Bombers, 6-0, at Pete Goldsby Field.
The Rougarou had one hit through the first five innings and finished with a total of five hits -- all singles. Only one batter walked and the Bombers' two pitchers struck out 12.
Baton Rouge used four pitchers who gave up six runs -- all earned -- on six hits, walked six and struck out seven.
The Bombers scored two runs in the third inning and four in the fourth -- two of those coming on a 2-run home run by Jacob Bohacek. They also were helped by three Rougarou errors in the game.
The Rougarou will hit the road Saturday to face the Victoria Generals.
