After his team dropped Tuesday night's second half opener to the Brazos Valley Bombers, head coach Stephen Klein predicted his team would bounce back on Wednesday.

Bounce they did.

The Rougarou held the Bombers to four hits and rolled to a 10-2 win at Travis Field to improve to 21-4 on the season, 1-1 in second-half play.

"Yes it was a bounce back win," Klein said. "I loved this win for the program. This was an all-around great win for the guys."

Once again, the Rougarou pitching was stellar. Thomas Collins, who has not given up an earned run all summer, gave up one unearned.  He went five innings, giving up just one hit, walking one and striking out three. Newcomer Patrick Vienne pitched two scoreless innings, allowing one hit, walking none and striking out two. Tobin Moran pitched the final two innings, giving up one run on two hits, walked two and struck out five.

The Rougarou knocked 11 hits off of four Brazos Valley pitchers, including doubles by Nicolas Schwing, Blaise Priester and Jackson Hood, and a triple by Taylor Walters. Priester had a single to go along with his double, scored four runs and drove in four. Walters, Hood and Sebastian Huerta all had two hits. Hood had four RBIs and Walters had two.

After giving up one run in the second inning, the Rougarou scored four in the third thanks to Priester's bases-loaded double and Hood's bases-loaded hit by a pitch. They would never trail again, adding one run in the fourth, one in the sixth, two in the seventh and two more in the top of the ninth.

The Roug return home Thursday for a four-game stand -- two against the Victoria Generals, then two against the Seguin River Monsters.
